Concrete Polishing & Grinding in San Francisco & the Bay Area

Multi-step diamond grinding and polishing that turns bare or worn slabs into dense, dust-free, low-maintenance floors in matte, satin or high-gloss — plus coating removal and surface profiling for warehouses, retail, showrooms, manufacturing and distribution facilities.

Professional Concrete Polishing and Grinding Services

Polished concrete is the lowest-lifetime-cost floor you can put in a commercial building. Using planetary diamond grinders, we take the slab from rough to refined in progressive steps — metal-bond diamonds to open and flatten the concrete, a lithium silicate densifier to harden it, then resin-bond diamonds from 50 to 3,000 grit to build the sheen you want. The result is a dense, dust-free surface that resists abrasion, tire marks and stains, reflects light, needs no wax or recoating and handles forklift and heavy-equipment traffic for decades.

USA Spray Me polishes and grinds floors for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, big-box retail, supermarkets, auto dealerships, schools, parking structures and municipal buildings across San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, Santa Rosa and all of Northern California.

Concrete Grinding and Surface Preparation

Grinding is also the critical first step before any coating. We remove failed epoxy, paint, glue, mastic, carpet adhesive and old waterproofing; flatten high spots, trip hazards and curled joints; and profile slabs to the exact Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) that epoxy, polyurea or self-leveling overlays require. Proper profiling is the difference between a coating that lasts fifteen years and one that peels in one.

Why Facility Managers Choose Polished Concrete

  • Handles forklift, pallet-jack and heavy equipment traffic without chipping or peeling
  • Resists abrasion, stains and daily wear; densified surface sheds dust
  • No wax, no stripping, no recoating — just auto-scrub and go
  • Reflective surface improves ambient lighting and can cut lighting energy 10–20%
  • Available in matte, satin and high-gloss, with optional dyes and scoring
  • Service life measured in decades; LEED-friendly because it uses the existing slab
  • Slip-resistant when properly maintained, even at high gloss

Project Scale and Scheduling

Our grinders, dust extractors and crews are set up for large footprints — 20,000 to 200,000+ square feet — as well as single-tenant spaces, and we work nights and weekends in occupied facilities. Send photos, floor plans or measurements for a preliminary scope and price; larger projects receive an on-site assessment and test patch. Free estimates throughout the Bay Area and Northern California.

Concrete Polishing & Grinding FAQs

What is concrete polishing and how does it work?

A multi-step diamond grinding process: coarse metal-bond diamonds flatten and open the slab, a densifier chemically hardens it, then progressively finer resin-bond diamonds (up to 3,000 grit) build the sheen. An optional stain guard finishes the floor.

What facilities benefit from polished concrete?

High-traffic commercial and industrial sites: warehouses, distribution centers, factories, retail and supermarkets, auto dealerships, food processing, schools, parking structures and government buildings.

What finish levels are offered?

Matte (industrial), satin (retail and mixed-use), semi-gloss and high-gloss mirror finishes, with cream, salt-and-pepper or full aggregate exposure and optional dyes.

What is concrete grinding used for?

Removing old coatings, epoxy, paint, glue and failed waterproofing; profiling slabs to the correct CSP before new coatings; flattening uneven slabs and trip hazards; and restoring worn floors.

How long does polished concrete last?

Decades with minimal maintenance. It does not peel, chip or require recoating; periodic burnishing restores the sheen in high-traffic lanes.

Can my existing floor be polished?

Usually, if the slab is structurally sound. We grind off irregularities and old coatings and fill cracks and joints. Suitability depends on concrete hardness, aggregate and condition, so every floor is assessed and test-polished first.

Do you handle large projects?

Yes — large-scale work is our specialty: big-box retail, manufacturing, food processing, warehouses, parking garages and municipal buildings, with industrial equipment and experienced crews.

How do I get a quote?

Send photos, floor plans or measurements to [email protected] or call (855) 566-5340 (Mon–Sat 7 AM–6 PM) for a scope and price; large projects receive a free on-site assessment.
