Spray Foam Roofing Installation and Repair
Spray polyurethane foam roofing is applied as a liquid that expands into a rigid, closed-cell foam and bonds directly to the roof deck or existing membrane. Because it is sprayed in place there are no seams, laps, fasteners or flashing joints — the places where virtually every conventional flat roof eventually leaks. The foam itself provides R-6 to R-7 per inch of insulation, and a UV-resistant elastomeric top coat (silicone, acrylic or polyurethane) protects it from sun and weather.

Why SPF Is the Smart Choice for Bay Area Flat Roofs
- No tear-off. Foam goes over built-up (tar and gravel), modified bitumen, metal, and in many cases TPO/EPDM after inspection — saving demolition cost, dumping fees and days of downtime.
- Insulation and waterproofing in one. 1–1.5 inches of foam adds R-6 to R-10 to the roof assembly and cuts cooling loads on hot inland buildings.
- Fixes ponding water. Foam can be sloped toward drains to eliminate low spots without structural changes — often the most cost-effective cure for ponding.
- Lightweight. About 0.5 lb per square foot at 1 inch, versus 6+ lb for a new built-up roof, so no structural upgrade is needed.
- Self-flashing. Foam conforms to curbs, vents, pipes, skylights and parapets, sealing the penetrations that fail on membrane roofs.
- Renewable. Recoat every 10–15 years and the roof stays in service indefinitely; nothing goes to the landfill.
- Cool-roof compliant. White silicone and acrylic coatings meet Title 24 cool-roof reflectance requirements and ENERGY STAR.

We pressure-wash, repair any blistered or damaged foam, re-prime and apply a fresh silicone or acrylic coat — restoring the waterproof barrier for another 10–15 years at a fraction of a new roof's cost.
