Epoxy Flooring Installation and Floor Coating Services

Bare concrete dusts, stains, absorbs oil and slowly deteriorates. A professionally installed epoxy system chemically bonds to the slab and turns it into a seamless, hard, easy-to-clean surface that shrugs off vehicle traffic, forklifts, chemicals, spills and abrasion for 10–20 years. USA Spray Me installs professional-grade epoxy, polyaspartic and hybrid resin systems over properly prepared concrete in residential garages, basements, warehouses, retail stores, auto showrooms, manufacturing and food-processing facilities across San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Every job starts with diamond grinding and surface profiling. Prep is what decides whether a coating lasts twenty years or peels in two — we never roll epoxy over acid-etched or unprepared concrete.

Finishes and Floor Types

  • Solid color — clean, uniform, industrial look in standard or custom colors
  • Flake (chip broadcast) — vinyl flakes in dozens of blends hide dirt and add slip resistance; the classic garage floor
  • Metallic epoxy — swirled pigments for one-of-a-kind showroom and retail floors
  • Clear epoxy — protects polished or decorative concrete
  • Self-leveling epoxy — flat, seamless, easy-to-clean floors for commercial kitchens, labs and manufacturing
  • Chemical-resistant novolac epoxy — battery rooms, food processing, chemical storage
  • Anti-slip additives — aluminum oxide or quartz broadcast for ramps and wet areas

Where Epoxy Floors Pay Off

  • Residential garages — oil, road salt and hot-tire resistant
  • Basements — moisture-tolerant systems for below-grade slabs
  • Warehouses and distribution — forklift traffic, line striping
  • Retail and auto showrooms — high-gloss metallic and solid finishes
  • Manufacturing and food processing — chemical and washdown resistance
  • Commercial kitchens, breweries, labs and medical facilities

Installation Timeline

Most projects take 1–2 days. Day one: diamond grinding, crack and spall repair, moisture testing and primer. Day two: base coat, flake or metallic broadcast, and clear top coat. Standard epoxy is ready for foot traffic in 24–72 hours and vehicles in 5–7 days; polyaspractic floors take vehicles the next day. Epoxy Floor Coating FAQs

What is epoxy floor coating and how does it work?

A two-part resin and hardener that chemically bonds to prepared concrete, forming a hard, seamless, chemical-resistant surface far more durable than bare or painted concrete.

What surfaces can be coated with epoxy?

Garages, basements (with moisture-tolerant systems), warehouses, retail, auto showrooms, manufacturing and food-processing floors. The concrete must be structurally sound and properly ground before coating.

Epoxy vs. polyaspartic — what's the difference?

Polyaspartic cures in 4–6 hours versus 24–72 for epoxy, is UV-stable (won't yellow), more flexible and allows same-day return to use, but costs more. Epoxy offers excellent chemical resistance at lower cost and suits warehouses and industrial floors.

How much does epoxy floor coating cost?

It depends on square footage, system (standard epoxy, polyaspartic, flake, metallic), concrete condition and repair, number of coats and finish level. Typical Bay Area garage floors run $5–$12 per square foot installed. We quote after a free inspection.

What finishes are available?

Solid color, flake broadcast, metallic, custom colors, clear over decorative or polished concrete, self-leveling for flat commercial floors, and anti-slip textures.

How long does installation take?

Most residential and small commercial floors take 1–2 days: grinding, repair and primer on day one; base coat, broadcast and top coat on day two. Large commercial floors are phased.

Can epoxy go over an existing garage floor coating?

Usually only if the existing coating is sound and compatible, in which case we can grind and apply a fresh top coat. Failing or incompatible coatings must be ground off first.
