Polyurea is formed when an isocyanate and a resin blend react in the spray gun — the coating gels in 3–10 seconds, can be walked on in hours and is fully in service the same day. The result is a seamless membrane with elongation of 300–500%, tensile strength several times that of epoxy, and excellent resistance to water, chemicals, abrasion, impact and temperature swings from -40°F to 300°F. Because polyurea bonds to and protects spray polyurethane foam, it is also our top-coat of choice over foam roofs and foam-insulated tanks where heavy traffic or abrasion is expected.

Application Process
- Surface assessment — substrate, moisture, movement joints and exposure determine the system and thickness
- Preparation — diamond grinding, sandblasting or pressure washing to the correct profile; crack and joint repair; primer
- Spray application — heated plural-component rig applies 60–120 mils in one or two passes, detailing drains, edges and penetrations
- Texture and top coat — aluminum-oxide anti-slip or aliphatic UV top coat as required
- Inspection — mil-thickness and adhesion checks, written warranty
Service Life and Value
Properly specified and applied polyurea lasts 10–20 years and is easily recoated. Its biggest advantage is downtime: a warehouse floor or restaurant roof coated on Saturday is back in business Sunday.
